Biassed reporting
The practise of reporting news storeys based on prejudiced views. Instead of telling a storey straight as it is based on facts and objective opinions, biassed reporting often resorts to distortion tactics by manipulating circumstantial information to make a false storey appear logical. In biassed reporting, the reporter often has developed a preconceived notion about a subject and then merely collects circumstantial information in order to make allegations in support of his or her views. In doing so, the reporter usually deliberately omits important information supporting the opposite views.
