Alzheimerova bolest
Jedan od najčešćih oblika demencije, neurološka bolest koju označava gubitak psihičkih sposobnosti, dovoljno jak da smanji mogućnost obavljanja normalnih aktivnosti u svakodnevnom životu. Ime je dobila po njemačkom psihijatru i neuropatologu Aloisu Alzheimeru koji ju je prvi opisao 1906. godine, Alzheimerova bolest je neizlječivo, degenerativno i terminalno stanje. Obično se pojavljuje u starosti i označava ju odumiranje kognitivnih funkcija kao što su sjećanje, zaključivanje i planiranje.
